Object Snap

Start drawing exactly from a particular point

Endpoint

Snap to line and arc

Home tab > Draw panel > Line

Snap to the endpoint of the arc

Point cursor down and enter 1000 for the length of the line

Point cursor right and enter another length 1000

Snap to the endpoint of the arc to finish the drawing

Midpoint

Snap to line and arc

Start Line command
Snap to the midpoint of the arc

Snap to the midpoint of the left line

Snap to the midpoint of the bottom line

Snap to the midpoint of the right line

Snap to the endpoint of the 1st line

Center

Snap to circle, arc and ellipse

Start Line command
Snap to the center of circle

Move cursor near the arc to get the center mark appear

Snap to the center point of the arc

Node

Snap to the point object

Start Circle command
Snap to the point object

Move out and enter 500 for the radius

Quadrant

Snap to circle, arc and ellipse

Snap to the quadrant of the circle

Snap to the endpoint of the arc

Snap to the right quadrant of the circle

Snap to the endpoint of the arc

Extension

Extension from a endpoint of line or arc

Start Rectangle command
Hover over the lower-right corner and move cursor to right
A dotted extension line appear

Enter 400 for the distance

Enter 500,1000 for the new rectangle

Insertion

Snap to text object and block

Start Circle command
Snap to the insert point of text object

Draw a circle at radius 400

Perpendicular

Snap to line, circle and arc

Get a perpendicular point from a line

Snap to top-right corner of the rectangle

Start a point from the top-left corner
Snap to the perpendicular point of the line

Start a point outside the arc
Snap to the perpendicular point of the arc

If you entend the line, it will pass through the center of the arc

Start a point outside the circle
Snap to the perpendicular point of the circle

If you extend the line, it will pass through the center of the circle

Tangent

Snap to the edge of the circle, arc and ellipse

Hover over the edge of the circle and pick a point

Hover over on the other circle and pick a point

Start Circle command
Pick a point above the arc
Snap to the tangent of the arc

Start Line command
Pick a tangent point from the small circle

Pick another point on the tangent of the arc

Start Line command
Pick a tangent point on the arc

Pick another tangent point on the big circle

Start Circle command
Pick a point inside the big circle
Snap to the tangent of the big circle

Start Circle command
Pick a point above the top line
Snap to the tangent point of the line

Nearest

Any point along linear or circular path

Pick any point on the line

Pick any point on the arc

Parallel

Draw a line parallel to another

Pick a point above the line
Hover cursor over the line to get the parallel icon appear

Move cursor away until the parallel icon appear again
Move cursor along the green dotted line and pick a point
