Object Snap Tracking


  • Object snap tracking works in conjunction with object snaps
  • Use object snap tracking to track along alignment paths that are based on object snap points. 
  • Acquired points display a small plus sign (+). 
  • After you acquire a point, horizontal, vertical, or polar alignment paths relative to the point are displayed as you move the cursor over their drawing paths. 

Draw Circle at Center of Rectangle


Home tab > Draw panel > Circle


Hover cursor over midpoint of top line of the rectangle and move down to display the alignment path


Repeat the same steps on the right line
Move cusor left along the path until it meet the vertical alegnment path


Pick a point to draw the circle at radius 160

Tracking points from other Objects


Home tab > Draw panel > Rectangle


Tracking point from the lower-left corner of the top view drawing
Tracking another point from the top-left corner of the right view drawing
Move cursor until 2 alignment paths meet at a point
Pick at this point as the 1st corner


Tracking a point from the lower-left corner of the right view drawing
Track another point from the lower-right corner of the top view drawing
Move cursor until 2 alignment paths meet at a point
Pick this point to finish the front view drawing
